Retaining Areas

Retaining walls are stabalising structures used to hold back earth. Areas can be retained to stop soil erosion, create more space on step properties or create a more aesthetically pleasing area. Areas can be retained using concrete retaing blocks to build a wall (plants can be planted into these to soften the look), steel rods and wooden poles placed horizontally, sandbags or gabion baskets filled with rocks.
